A green remodeler is a professional who utilizes sustainable business practices, maximizes natural resources, reducing energy consumption while improving efficiencies.   A green remodeler is also someone who takes the time to educate homeowners in how they can make more responsible choices reducing their environmental footprint. This dedication to managing remodeling projects in a more environmentally responsible way will have a profound impact on the condition of our planet for many generations to come.
NARI’s Universal Remodeling education course provides the tools to conduct remodeling projects that are based on Universal Design Principles. These types of projects are not only appropriate for age-in-place folks but also adapt to special needs and are forward thinking. The seven principles of Universal Design teach us how to meet needs today and provide full access for all who enter and enjoy our homes now and in the future.
